About the Show

Holt My Beer isn't your typical music podcast. We're not interviewing the bands themselves. We're talking to the people who lived the scene alongside them – the roadies who fixed their gear, the wives who put up with their bullshit, the friends who were there for the wild nights and the hangover mornings.

These are stories from the SF Bay Area metal scene, when thrash was king and the underground was thriving. The tales are raw, unfiltered, and sometimes unbelievable – but they're all true. Well, mostly true. Memory gets fuzzy after thirty years and a few too many beers.

Each episode features real people sharing real stories. No scripts, no polish, just honest conversations about what it was really like to be part of the Bay Area metal scene during its heyday. Grab a beer, sit back, and listen to some legends tell it like it was.
